Erase your Sins with Taubah and Istighfaar

Ponder on what type of life do we want to enjoy? A heedless life of committing sinful haraam acts or a life of taqwa and piety? … When we are weak and feeble in our obedience to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, the word Taqwa (piety) that we so often hear, seems so difficult to attain … However, when we decide to take that baby step towards Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, He will most definitely come running towards us! … Through regular Taubah (repentance) and Istighfaar (seeking forgiveness), one can gain the enjoyment of Taqwa.

If one is embarking on a distant journey by car, after some time, dust and dirt will collect on the windscreen. So, we use the windscreen wiper to remove the filth and grime that has come onto the windscreen. Without using the windscreen wiper, we wont be able to see the road clearly and we will have a problem driving. Istighfaar is like a windscreen wiper. It wipes out and washes away all the filth that clouds our hearts.  When we reach our destination, we need to take our car for a carwash … and that is Taubah! … Taubah is scrubbing and shining that heart of ours. Turning to Allah … Begging Allah … Crying to Allah … We regret committing those sins … We abandon those sins and promise not to go back to those sins …

Stubborn Stains of Sins

For years upon years we have persisted in certain gunahs (sins) … With time, the sins we have accumulated have become stubborn stains on our heart …

Dirty kitchen utensils require more than soap to remove all traces of stains. When scoured with a scrubbing brush then only do we see results. Similarly, one of the most effective ways to remove and eradicate the Stubborn Stains of Sins from our hearts is through Zikrullah

From all acts of Ibaadat that we perform the most as’hal (easiest) is Zikrullah … Call on Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala! … Standing, sitting, lying down, at all times ….

Men who celebrate the praises of Allah, standing, sitting, and lying down on their sides, and contemplate the (wonders of) creation in the heavens and the earth, (With the thought): “Our Lord! not for naught Hast Thou created (all) this! Glory to Thee! Give us salvation from the penalty of the Fire ~ Surah Al Imraan ~ 3:191

The Status and Responsibilities of a Hafidh of the Qur’aan

….

The Qur’aan-e-Majeed which came down from the heavens via Jibra’eel AS, was revealed to Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam as a source of mercy and guidance by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, for all mankind … This is no ordinary book! These weighty and powerful words contain lessons, advices, guidelines and an invitation from Allah towards Allah … It is cure to all doubts, spiritual diseases and physical ailments, for those who ponder and bring into practice the teachings of the Qur’aan.

Whoever loves the Qur’aan-e-Majeed, in reality it is because of the love he has for Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala …

Those who are carrying the Qur’aan-e-Majeed within their hearts are chosen and selected through the Grace and Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala to imbibe these words into their chests … A person may acquire the treasures of the world, but when the Qur’aan-e-Majeed is committed to memory and infiltrates into the heart of a Hafidh, it is a far greater investment.

A Hafidh who abides by the laws and injunctions of the Qur’aan-e-Majeed and does not abandon or forsake the Qur’aan, nor does he exceed the limits, acquires a high status in the eyes of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala. This Kalamullah (Word of Allah) is one of the best things a person can acquire and gather for his Hereafter …
