What is Success? ~ Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB

…

Every single person in this world is striving to achieve Success! No matter what his status may be, no matter where he may be living in this world … young, old, poor or rich. There is a common goal which every single person is striving towards … and that is Success! … In the eyes of mankind, who is a successful person? That person who acquires more wealth, more money, more properties, more treasures of this material world, is regarded to be a successful person!

However, despite making so many sacrifices for the so called ‘Success’ in this dream world, there is ‘no promise of tomorrow’. We have forgotten the ‘Ultimate Success‘ which Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala the ‘Creator of the Both the Worlds has regarded to be supreme … The Aakhirah (Hereafter)! … The true and genuine success of the “Hereafter” outweighs the success of this worldly life! … That is why we are in this world and that is what we have been created for!

Allah gives us an invitation!

Allah extends an invitation to every single person in this world! … Believer and non-believer, and calls out with an urgent plea, guiding us to His beautiful Deen of Islam and this everlasting Success!

Time is moving very swiftly and before we know it, it would be time for us to leave this world … The tomorrow of the hereafter is guaranteed by Allah! It is a perpetual life of felicity in which a person will live forever …

Let us become ‘True Muslims’ … True believers … Believers whom Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala has regarded as successful in the Qur’aan … Believers whom Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam has regarded to be successful in the Hadith …

The pleasures of this world are short lived … The pleasures of the Aakhirah are perpetual and eternal … (Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB)

Ibaad ur Rahmaan ~ The True Slaves of Allah ~ Moulana Naeem Motala SB

bismillahh

IBAADUR.RAHMAAN.BANNER

And the slaves of the Rahman are those who walk on the earth humbly and when the ignorant people speak to them, they reply peacefully, [63] and those who pass the night prostrating and standing before their Lord, [64] and those who say, “Our Lord, avert from us the punishment of Jahannam; indeed, its punishment is a persisting affliction. [65] Indeed, evil it is as an abode and a place to dwell in [66] – and those who, when they spend, are neither extravagant nor miserly, and it (i.e. their spending) is moderate in between (the two extremes) [67] – and those who do not invoke any other god along with Allah, and do not kill a person whom Allah has given sanctity, except rightfully, nor do they fornicate; and whoever does it, shall face the recompense of his sin, [68] the punishment will be doubled for him and he will remain there disdained, for ever, [69] except the one who repents and believes and does good deeds, then Allah will change the bad deeds of such people into good ones, and Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful. [70] And whoever repents and does righteous deeds turns to Allah truly [71] – and those who do not witness falsehood, and when they pass by the absurd things, Pass by with dignity [72] and those who, when they are reminded of the verses of their Lord, do not fall at them as deaf and blind ones [73] – and those who say, “Our Lord, Give us, from our spouses and our children, coolness of eyes and make us heads of the God-fearing. [74] ~ Surah Furqaan : Verses 63~74

In these closing verses of Surah Furqaan, Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala has mentioned and awarded the title of ‘Ibaad ur Rahmaan’ (True Slaves of Allah) to His honourable and favoured servants.

In an excellent ‘series’ of discussions and commentary, Moulana Naeem Motala SB, explains in depth and elaborates on the ’12 Qualities’ displayed by these bondsmen which will indeed gain them unique honour in the Court of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala …

Rujoo’ilallah- Returning to Allah ~ Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اَللّهُِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم

When a child is born, it is weak, cannot fend for itself and is dependent on the nurturing of parents. It comes into this world without any knowledge and Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala develops the faculties of this child as it grows. Each day is a day of enjoyment for the parents, to watch this child transforming from the womb of its mother, to an infant, to a teenager, to an adult and then towards old age … Similarly, we all are Musaafir’s (traveller’s), moving through various spiritual stages in this life (Dunya) towards our original abode (Aahkirah) … Each day we are journeying to where we came from, ‘Returning to Allah’ (Rujoo’ilallah) …

The environment which we are living in, is undoubtedly very challenging. A person is in such a predicament that all around him, he is being enticed and tempted towards sin. Therefore, the consciousness we supposed to be having every moment our life, wherever we may be, in privacy or in public, is … my Allah is watching me … my Allah is seeing me … my Allah is hearing me … my Allah is well aware of me!

If a person takes one step towards the love of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, he will immediately feel Sukoon (peace) and if a person takes one step towards Gunah (sin) then, he will immediately be restless….A few days in this fleeting world and a little bit of Ibadat and we will be granted a perpetual and everlasting Jannah (paradise) … Allah (Al-Shakur) washes away our sins and opens His doors of Mercy, provided we ‘turn’ and ‘return’ to Him with sincere Taubah and Istighfaar!

When Yusuf AS, was trapped and then seduced to commit Zinna … think of how he immediately focussed his attention to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, and sought refuge in Him …

When Ibraheem AS was being tested and thrown into an inferno (blazing fire) … think of how he did not denounce his faith, and placed his full reliance and trust only in Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala  …

When Yunus AS was being tested in a distressful situation in the belly of the fish … think of how he finally called out to Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala to be his savior….

Turn to Allah! ” (Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB)

Whenever we are faced with difficulties and challenges and there seems no escape from our predicament, think of the Ambiya AS who were also confronted with great trials and tribulations but they turned to Allah and placed their firm trust and reliance in Him alone.

The Shining Stars 5 ~ Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB

bismillahh

After listening to so many biographies of the Sahaba RA (guiding stars), we should pose a question to ourselves … What is our condition? What lessons have we learnt from their lives? What positive changes have we made in our lives?

‘”There is no doubt that after Ambiya AS, this world has never seen, nor would ever see a group like the Sahaba RA’ … Before accepting Islam the Sahaba RA were non-entities, but after accepting Islam they became prominent personalities. Allah gave them such honour, dignity and respect!” …(Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB)

We should make a firm intention and some effort, to imitate and ingrain the teachings, advices, Akhlaaq and character of Sahaba RA (guiding stars) in our life. Then Allah rewards us, opens the way, protects us from evil, saves us from sin and lights up our heart!

Moulana, discusses an incident in the life of Hazrat Abdullah RA (‘Zulbijaadain’ – possessor of two sheets), which inspires and makes us desirous to have the fate of this poverty-stricken Sahabi. After accepting Islam and being disowned by his disbelieving uncle, he was discovered by Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam at His doorstep wrapped in two sheets. Yearning for death as a Shaheed (Martyr), this close companion was struck with severe fever and was blessed to be buried at the ‘Hands of Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam’
