How to gain the ‘Love’ of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala

Hazrat Thanvi RA has mentioned a prescription of ‘four actions‘ to gain the ‘Love of Allah Ta’ala‘ :

1. Compare the immense kindness and favours of Allah Ta’ala to our ingratitude and disobedience of Him.

2. Exert ourselves and strive to do those righteous deeds that Allah Ta’ala desires of us and leads us to Him, (Salaah, Zikr, Recitation of Qur’aan, etc).

3. Make specific time for engaging in the Zikr of Allah Ta’ala daily.

4. Keep the company of the pious friends of Allah Ta’ala, in whose companionship, the effects of Allah Ta’ala’s muhhabbat is generated into our hearts.

Taubatan Nasooha

bismillahh

 

يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ تُوبُوٓا۟ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ تَوْبَةًۭ نَّصُوحًا

O you who believe! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance!

~ Surah At-Tahreem 66:8

A sinner is required to repair his torn clothes of righteous deeds by making a faithful, genuine, sincere and loyal repentance … Taubatan Nasooha  is that repentance, after which a person does not return to the sins that he repented for, just as milk can not be returned to the udders of the cow after it is milked …
