Lessons from Hadith Shareef ~ Straightening Your Rows (Saffs) for Salaat

bismillahh

Hadith

Hazrat N’umaan bin Bashir (RA) said, “Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam used to straighten our rows, as if he was straightening a (bent) arrow by means of our saffs , until he saw that we had learnt it, ie straightening of saffs. Then he came out one day and was about to say the Takbir (to commence the Salaat), when he noticed a man whose chest was protruding out of the row. He said: Oh Slaves of Allah! Make your rows straight, or else Allah will cause discord amongst you.” ~ [Sahih Muslim]

Important aspects discussed in this Hadith :

• The Importance of straightening the rows for congregational Salaat.

 • Allah creates discord/disunity/disharmony amongst the people who do not keep their rows straight.

Lessons from Hadith Shareef ~ The Importance of Sincere Repentance

bismillahh

Hadith

Narrated by Hazrat Abdullah ibn Mas’ud : Nabi Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “He who repents of a sin is like him who has committed no sin.” ~ Al-Tirmidhi

Important aspects discussed in this Hadith :

• Turning towards Allah in humility, after having disobeyed Him or transgressed His limits.

•  Making Sincere Repentance (Taubah)

3 Necessary Steps which Complete the Acceptance of One’s Taubah with regard to Huququllah :

• Leaving the sin immediately.

• Feeling ashamed/regretful/remorseful over having committed the sin.

• Making a firm intention not to commit the sin again.

However, if, after some time, a person (who has made a firm resolution never to go back to the sin), suddenly slips and finds himself committing the sin again, then Sincere Taubah (repentance and forgiveness) should be sought again.. … Allah Ta’ala is Ghafurur Raheem (Most Forgiving, Most Merciful). He will Forgive!

Laylatul Bara’ah ~ Night of Emancipation

bismillahh

أَلَمْ يَأْنِ لِلَّذِينَ آمَنُوا أَن تَخْشَعَ قُلُوبُهُمْ لِذِكْرِ اللَّهِ

Has not the Time arrived for the Believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah ~ Surah Al-Hadid 57:16

Laylatul Bara’ah ~ Night of Emancipation

When A Loss Occurs …

bismillahh

Be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere, Who say, when afflicted with calamity: “To Allah We belong, and to Him is our return” Surah Al-Baqarah 2:155/156

 ….

In this world we may claim ownership, but in reality, everything belongs to Allah. Whatever Allah gives us, belongs to Him. Whatever Allah takes away, belongs to Him. Our lives, wealth, children, material possessions, all belong to Allah.

Everything has a fixed time and when its time expires, it returns to Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala.

We have to repeatedly remind ourselves, that we will go from this world taking nothing of the material possessions of this ephemeral world. We will depart with our hands bare!

The Believers will be Granted Light (Noor) on the Day of Qiyaamah

bismillahh

“On the Day when you will see the believing men and the believing women- their Light running in front of them and to their right hands, (it will be said to them): “Good News for you this Day! Gardens beneath which rivers flow! to dwell therein for ever! This is indeed the highest Achievement!” – Surah Al-Hadid 57:12

In Surah Al-Hadid, Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala discusses, the condition of the believers and the hypocrites on the day of Qiyamah. He consoles and comforts the believing men and the believing woman, by bestowing them with glad tidings of immense Noor (light/effulgence) whilst the hypocrites shall remain in total darkness and chastisement, separated from the believers.

The intensity of the light that each Mu’min will have, will depend on the amount of A’maal-e Saalihah (good deeds) he or she has done in this world. The more A’maal e Saalihah you do in this world, the more greater and stronger will be your light on the day of Qiyamah.
