Just as we have the ‘Tahaarat’ of the body (purity of the body) , we have the Tahaarat of the Qalb (purity of the heart), in which we make our hearts clean and pure. We need to purify our hearts from the dirt of sins and then imbibe the ’Noor of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala into our hearts through Zikrullah, Tilaawat, Wa’az, Nasihat.
Otherwise …
If we do not make the Zikr of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala, sincere Taubah and Istighfaar, and we continue engaging in sins, then this dust of sins thhat collects on our heart will become very hard and will gradually cover the entire heart … We will then become slaves of Nafs and Shahwat (our egos and desires) and it will then become very difficult to combat Nafs and Shaytaan.
May Allah Ta’ala help us to cleanse and purify our hearts …
