The Haqeeqat (Reality) of Zikrullah

Hazrat Anas Bin Malik Radiyallaahu Anhu narrated that Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam said : “When you pass by the gardens of Jannah, graze to your heart’s content.”  Someone asked, “O Messenger of Allah (Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam), what is meant by the gardens of Jannah?” He replied: “The gatherings of ZIKR.”  ~ Tirmidhi

By reciting the Kalaam of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala, making Zikrullah, Istighfaar, and sending Salaat and Salaam upon Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, one’s heart feels the effects of Ghunaah (Sins) coming out of the heart.

The Haqeeqat (Reality) of Zikr is to remove the Ghuflat (Negligence) from a person. We move towards Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala, but when we become heedless and negligent, then we move off this road (path). Shaytaan and Nafs pull us towards every other direction other than the Siraatul Mustaqeem (the straight path).

“By making Zikr, one begins to polish his filthy heart that caused him to become so heedless of Allah Taala”

A Zaakir engages in Zikr, trying to concentrate and ponder over the greatness of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala. He engages in Zikr with ‘the tongue of his mouth’ together with the ‘tongue of his heart’. ie: The Dil (heart) and Zubaan (tongue)  simultaneously make the Zikr of Allah Subhaanahu Wa Ta’ala …

Through the barakah of making Zikr everyday, the Ghuflat (Negligence) and sins are removed from the heart.
