تِلْكَ الدَّارُ الْآخِرَةُ نَجْعَلُهَا لِلَّذِينَ لَا يُرِيدُونَ عُلُوًّا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فَسَادًا ۚ وَالْعَاقِبَةُ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ

That home of the Hereafter We assign to those who do not desire exaltedness upon the earth or corruption. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous. (Sarah Al-Qasas 28:83)

وعن كعب بن مالك، رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏
‏عَنِ ابْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏مَا ذِئْبَانِ جَائِعَانِ أُرْسِلاَ فِي غَنَمٍ بِأَفْسَدَ لَهَا مِنْ حِرْصِ الْمَرْءِ عَلَى الْمَالِ وَالشَّرَفِ لِدِينِهِ ‏‏‏
(‏رواه الترمذي وقال‏:‏ حديث حسن صحيح‏)‏‏

Hazrat K’ab bin Malik Radiallahu Anhu reported: Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “Two hungry wolves sent in the midst of a flock of sheep are no more destructive to them than a man’s greed for wealth and fame is to his Deen.” [Tirmidhi]

: عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ

“‏ لاَ تَزُولُ قَدَمَا ابْنِ آدَمَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّهِ حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ خَمْسٍ عَنْ عُمْرِهِ فِيمَا أَفْنَاهُ

وَعَنْ شَبَابِهِ فِيمَا أَبْلاَهُ وَمَالِهِ مِنْ أَيْنَ اكْتَسَبَهُ وَفِيمَ أَنْفَقَهُ وَمَاذَا عَمِلَ فِيمَا عَلِمَ ‏”

Hazrat Ibn Mas’ud Radhiallahu Anhu narrated that Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said:

“The feet of the son of Adam shall not move from before his Lord on the Day of Judgement, until he is asked about five things : about his life and what he did with it, about his youth and what he wore it out in, about his wealth and how he earned it and spent it upon, and what he did with what he knew (his knowledge).”

عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنَّهُ قَالَ ‏:‏

عَلَيْكُمْ بِقِيَامِ اللَّيْلِ فَإِنَّهُ دَأْبُ الصَّالِحِينَ قَبْلَكُمْ وَهُوَ قُرْبَةٌ إِلَى رَبِّكُمْ وَمَكْفَرَةٌ لِلسَّيِّئَاتِ وَمَنْهَاةٌ لِلإِثْمِ

Hazrat Abu Umamah Radiyallahu Anhu narrated that Rasullulah Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam said : > Hold onto Tahajjud, for (1) verily it is the practice of the pious ones before you, > (2) a means of gaining closeness to your Rabb, > (3) a means of expiation of sins, > (4) a deterrent from committing sins.

عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ خُبَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ خَرَجْنَا فِي لَيْلَةٍ مَطِيرَةٍ وَظُلْمَةٍ شَدِيدَةٍ نَطْلُبُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يُصَلِّي لَنَا – قَالَ فَأَدْرَكْتُهُ فَقَالَ ‏”‏ قُلْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ فَلَمْ أَقُلْ شَيْئًا ثُمَّ قَالَ ‏”‏ قُلْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ فَلَمْ أَقُلْ شَيْئًا ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏”‏ قُلْ ‏”‏ ‏.‏ قُلْتُ مَا أَقُولُ قَالَ ‏”‏ قُلْ ‏:‏ ‏(‏ هوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ‏)‏ وَالْمُعَوِّذَتَيْنِ حِينَ تُمْسِي وَتُصْبِحُ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ تَكْفِيكَ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ ‏”‏ ‏‏ : Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3575

Hazrat Abdullah ibn Khubayb Radiyallahu Anhu narrated : We went out one rainy and intensely dark night to look for Rasulullah Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam to lead us in prayer. When I found him, he said: Say! But I did not say anything. So he said: Say! … But I did not say anything … He said: Say! … So I said : What am I to say? He said: Say: “Qul huwallaahu Ahad and Al-Mu’awwadhatain (Surah Falaq and Surah Naas) three times in the morning and evening; it will suffice you from everything” (it will protect you from all evil) ~ Tirmidhi.

Hadith

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ ثَابِتِ بْنِ عِمَارَةَ الْحَنَفِيِّ، عَنْ غُنَيْمِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ كُلُّ عَيْنٍ زَانِيَةٌ وَالْمَرْأَةُ إِذَا اسْتَعْطَرَتْ فَمَرَّتْ بِالْمَجْلِسِ فَهِيَ كَذَا وَكَذَا يَعْنِي زَانِيَةً ‏“‏ ‏.‏ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏

Narrated by Hazrat Abu Musa Radiyallaahu Anhu : Rasulullah Sallallaahu Alaihi wa Sallam said, “Every eye can commit adultery, and the woman who adorns herself with fragrances and passes by an assembly of men is such-and-such,” (meaning an adulteress) … ~ Tirmidhi
