Did we ever Ponder over the Numerous Bounties Attached to just One Morsel of Food?



وَإِن تَعُدُّوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ لَا تُحْصُوهَا ۗ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَغَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ
If ye would count up the favours of Allah, never would ye be able to number them:
for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful ~ Surah Nahl 16:18


• Make Eating an Ibaadat

• Reflect over the numerous bounties of Allah Ta’ala

 • The Importance of making Itibaa’ – ie : following the Sunnat

 • The Importance of reading Duas when partaking of meals

 • When one forgets to say Bismillah before eating

Rasulullaah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam said: ‘Whenever any of you eats, let him mention the name of Allah Subhaanahu waTa’ala. If he forgets to mention the name of Allah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala at the beginning, let him say “Bismillahi awwalahu wa akhirahu.”~ Abu Dawud and al-Timidhi

“I was a young boy under the care of Rasulullaah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam. My hand used to wander all over the plate, so Rasulullaah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam told me: ‘O young boy, mention the name of Allah, eat with your right hand, and eat from what is directly in front of you.’” ~ Bukhari and Muslim

“I saw Rasulullaah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam eating with three fingers, and when he had finished he would lick them.” ~ Muslim
