Don’t Lose Hope in the Mercy of Allah! ~ Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB

Wa may yattaqillaa ha yaj-‘al lahu makhraja – wa yarzuqhu min haythu la yahtasib – wa may-yata-wakkal ‘a- lallaahi fahuwa hasbuh – innallaha balighu amrih – qad ja ‘a lallahu li kulli shayin qadra

“… And for those who fear Allah, He (ever) prepares a way out, And He provides for him from (sources) he never could imagine. And if any one puts his trust in Allah, sufficient is (Allah) for him. For Allah will surely accomplish his purpose: verily, for all things has Allah appointed a due proportion. (Surat at-Talaq, 65:2-3)

An inspiring and motivating talk which gives “Hope” to a group of addicts undergoing rehabilitation, expounding on the qualities and attributes manifested in two beautiful Names of Allah Subhanahu~Wa~Ta’ala (Ar-Raheem, the Most Merciful and Al-Ghafoor, the Most Forgiving). The Greatness of His Forgiveness and Mercy is so vast that no one should despair of it, despite the amount of sins he may have committed …

Excerpts and Quotations taken from the Talk >>>

“This test is not something that we do not know the answers to. We know the questions and we know the correct answers, hence its not a difficult test at all!”

“When we come into this world … Nobody’s perfect … We make mistakes … We make errors … We make blunders … but, Allah is so Forgiving and Loving (Al Ghafoor ul Wadood)”

“Allah wants us to turn to Him! Allah is there for us all the time! Allah never abandons us!”

“We make mistakes and we turn to Allah Subhanahu~Wa~Ta’ala. Allah is there for each and every one of us! Allah is too loving, too kind! He has the doors of forgiveness wide open for us. All we need to do is turn to Him. But when we turn to Allah, we don’t play games with Allah.”

“Allah observes every single thing! A tiny little black ant which is under a rock on a dark night … Allah Subhanahu~Wa~Ta’ala can even hear the footsteps of that ant!”

“We have to connect ourselves to Allah! Allah is there for us all the time! The rest of mankind may leave us … They may abandon us … They may forsake us … But Allah is not like that! … We have to have this conviction! We have to believe in this! And until we don’t believe in this, then Shaytaan will play games with us! He will make you feel low, spiritually low, lazy …”

“When you feeling low what do you do? Talk to your Allah! He hears you! He is As-Samee! He is Al-Baseer! He is watching you and hears you and knows your condition.”

“There are hundreds of examples of people who were totally away from the Deen of Allah Subhanahu~Wa~Ta’ala … and ‘overnight’ they became the ‘True Friends’ of Allah! Why? They were sincere. They were dedicated. And when they made this pledge to Allah they kept to it.”

“When you say Allahu Akbar! What is the meaning of that? Allah is Great! There is nobody greater than Allah. We are talking to Allah! Do you think that, that Allah, who you are praising and calling out to is not going answer your Du’aas? Impossible! Allah answers our Du’aas … It’s a matter of time, conviction, dedication, loyalty, sincerity ….”

“You can make Du’aa to Allah in any language you wish … English, Afrikaans, Zulu, Arabic! Speak to Him!”

“You see a flock of sheep … And suddenly you see a wolf coming … What is the wolf going to do? … He is going to wait for just ‘one sheep’ to stray onto one side … And then it will attack the ‘one sheep’! As long as the sheep are all together, the wolf won’t take a chance! Like that, if we keep ourselves in ‘good company’, then we will be safe from Shaytaan …”

“Be strong … Be positive … Don’t go backwards! There is no question of going backwards > Once the milk is taken out of the udder of the cow you can’t put it back in!”

Laylatul Bara’ah ~ Night of Emancipation ~ Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB

بِسْــــــــــــــــــمِ اَللّهُِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيم

During this auspicious Night of Bara’ah, multitudes of people are forgiven. Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala emancipates thousands of souls this night from the fire of Jahannum (bara’ah means emancipation) … Allah focuses His special attention towards those seeking his forgiveness during this night. So many are forgiven that are equivalent to the number of strands of hair on the goats of the Banu Kalb tribe (a very large tribe with a huge number of livestock). However, there are some who are not forgiven and are deprived of the blessings of this great night … Unless they make amends and totally refrain from their particular evil traits :

•  Those who harbour enmity

•  Those who worship idols (idolater)

•  Those who break family ties

•  Those who disobey parents

•  Those who are perpetual alcoholics

•  Those who commit adultery

•  Those who commit murders

Moulana, narrated a very intriguing story of Maalik bin Dinar R.A and his transformation from a drunkard to becoming a Wali of Allah …

A man who made sincere Taubah (repentance) giving us (sinners) ‘true hope’ in the Mercy of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala despite our weakness.

“Concentrate on the Greatness of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala … Say La’illaha’illallah … Negate and remove all the filth we have in our hearts … Anger, pride, jealousy, enmity and say Ill’allah! … Fill in our hearts only Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala … Feel that all the filth is just being thrown out and is being washed away completely! … And now, the Noor of Allah is coming into our hearts and making our hearts bright!” (Moulana Naeem Motala Saheb DB)
